These are some photos of my room, turned a little bit into an Art Studio.
I'm into illustration since December 2015, and since then, it's been great! I really enjoy drawing all the time, in Digital and in Paper.
So I wanted a comfortable place to be able to do it. I only had one desk, but it's pretty much occupied with my Drawing Monitor (Ugee), Speakers, my Keyboard, and some plastic cabinets.
So I needed another desk to be able to have all my gear for drawing in Paper.
So, here's the result, now I have this other small desk. So far, it's been great. It's a little taller but if fits my needs.
So, in the photo on top, you will find my two desks. The one from the left with my Digital Gear, My Drawing Monitor, a keyboard for shortcuts, my speakers (Music is always important), some cabinets, and my laptop on a small table aside, that moves everywhere I want.
You can also see a Cork board with some of my Drawings (Digital and in Paper), and a Portrait with some more drawings.
Now, let's see the other desk more closely.
On my desk you will find a plastic cabinet, and a small black bin to hold some pencils. Also, my drawing wood board, and on top of that, my PNBOO Light Traced Pad.
There is a small Keyboard tray that you can pull out, on top of that I put a plastic organizer I bought, I used Velcro to fix that to the keyboard tray.
Now, let's take a look more closely to my art gear:
The Plastic cabinet is perfect to hold my Lyra Graphite Pencils, and my Pencil Wrap with my Staedler Pencils, and the Stumps.
I bought on Amazon a Headphones holder, I put it in a side of the desk, and it's great to hold my Light Traced Pad in the Portfolio.
The paper holder/organizer I fixed it with velcro on the lower part of the desk, in that side it doesn't bother me, and it holds my Drawing Book, a hard board, and some other kind of paper.
This is the plastic organizer fixed with Velcro to the Keyboard Tray, it is divided between 8 compartmens. I put in there a pack of Stumps, a Micro cloth fiber, a clip holder, an eraser, cork board pins, the Light Traced Pad AC adapter, and I have a free cabinet to hold my pencils and ther pencil erasers. It's pretty big and very useful.
I may not be a Professional, but I consider that is important that you can have a comfortable space to be able to do what you really like. The space where you can draw or paint and feel comfortable with it, where you can have all your gear in one place. Also the fact that you can hang your own drawings or paintings is also very important.
I hope you can find some things that can be helpful to you. Everything from before was affordable, I'm pretty sure you can find great desk from under $100 on Amazon or IKEA. And the plastic cabinets and organizers are small and really cheap. You easily can set your own Art Work Space in your own room, or other spare space that you have.
